Reconstructive Surgery

Women having surgery for breast cancer will be offered reconstructive surgery (Plastic Surgery), where appropriate to their particular condition. This can be either immediate (at the same time as the treatment surgery) or delayed ( up to several years after the original treatment surgery) again depending on the individual case and her wishes.

We are lucky in Frenchay in having the regional plastic surgery unit on site and 2 of the plastic surgeons run regular clinics in the breast care centre
