    Jane deals mostly with Mr. Cawthorn's patients and Lin with the Mr Sahu's. They do one of the most important jobs in our centre, providing patients with emotional support, information, and even financial support at all stages of diagnosis, treatment and follow-up.

    This starts even before you come to the centre to a clinic, as you are encouraged to phone up after you receive an appointment to discuss what will happen when you come, how long it will take, your fears about your breast symptom be it a lump or pain and what will happen afterwards.

    Sometimes the news is not very good and she will be there when the diagnosis is given to you by the doctor and the options discussed. She will then see you by herself and talk about it, trying to help you cope with it and smoothing out any practical difficulties that may arise.
